Good health is critical to living the life you want. This includes all the obvious things you would think such as nutrition, sleep, exercise and diet, etc… As important as these are, perhaps the most important aspect is not physical but psychological.
This one aspect is Self Image. Self Image is the way we think of ourselves. Unfortunately, how to have a positive self image is not something that is ever taught in schools. But, it effects almost everything we do and may determine our success in all aspects of life. Moreover, those with a poor self image are more likely to under perform in school, become overweight, abuse alcohol, become a drug addict and even commit suicide.
In his book, “Psycho Cybernetics”, Doctor Maxwell Maltz goes into great detail on how self image is a cybernetic instrument that controls our behavior and habits. And how we can use this instrument to change our self image so that we can live the life we want.
